Jeera Kala-Bellamy: In this, the couple sits opposite to each other and pastes Jeera on each other’s hand.
Managalsutra: The groom puts mangalsutra around the bride’s neck and ties three knots on the thread attached to it.
Kanyadan Akshata & Saptapadi: The couple exchanged the garlands. They take seven pheras. The groom puts the silver toe ring on the bride’s toe.
Marriage Procedure in Andhra Pradesh
The couple first of all needs to submit the notice of intended marriage to the registrar of marriage. The parties can apply to the state in which either party is residing for at least 30 days before the notice of the intended marriage.
The notice of the officer registrar must be published for objections.
The objections can be filed within 30 days by the general public if they have any interest in the matter.
If no objection can be filed, then the marriage will be solemnized in the office of the registrar.
The parties need to go to the officer of the registrar with three witnesses. The parties and the registrar need to sign it. The witnesses are the eyewitnesses of the solemnization of marriage.
Marriage registration procedure in Andhra Pradesh
Marriage can be registered through online mode as well nowadays. It is a much more convenient and hassle-free procedure.
For the marriage registration, the couple needs to visit the official website.
They need to fill out the form and sign it. They even need to attach the required document along with the application form.
After this, submit the application form after checking all the details.
After the submission of the application form, the registrar will schedule an appointment on a fixed time and date.
After the form submission, the registrar will fix the date within 15 – 30 days from the submission of the application. However, this entire process can take an entire 60 days to complete.

The couple is only required to fill out the application form fees. Other than that there are no extra expenses for the wedding.
