What Document Required To Start Court Marriage

A court marriage occurs in accordance with the Act's procedure and is typical throughout the country. The marriage registrar performs the marriage without regard to a person's caste, creed, or religion. Documents Needed in India for Court Marriage

Affidavits signed separately by the bride and the groom that include the following information-

  • Birth Proof

  • Relationship status- widower, single, or divorcee

  • Confirmation that the couple's relationship is not at the level of one that is forbidden

  • Identical passport-sized images of the couple to be

  • Proof of the bride and groom's residence

  • Birth dates proof of the parties to the marriage

  • A replica of the couple's signed notification of impending marriage

  • In the situation of a divorcee, a copy of the divorce decree, with a copy of the spouse's death certificate in the case of a widower or widow.

The following details must be included in the affidavits of both the bride and the groom for the court marriage. They are-

  • Birth dates

  • Relationship status: married, divorced, or widowed

  • A declaration stating that the individuals are not linked to one another in any way is prohibited

  • Two passport-size images of the bride and the groom

  • Copy of the divorce judgment or order in the situation of a divorcée, and the spouse's death certificate in the case of a widow or widower
